Life in China

Above: Dancers fill the broad sidewalk next to the river to brush up on their ballroom dancing (one of my favorite things about China). Below: I get into the fray and capture the waltz.

Above: I found a group of ladies doing a sword dance and finally persuaded one of them to pose for photo with me. Below: One of my favorite photos from the trip- a bicycle repair man pauses from his work to share a welcoming smile.
Above: Capturing all the activity of China. Below: A man proudly shows off his new tattoo (I don't think it was really, probably henna).
Above: A woman carves a pumpkin at an English school as the students learn about Halloween. Below: A man on a bamboo raft depends on the river for his livelihood.

A woman sits atop a rocky mountain overlooking the city on a hazy morning. Many people climb the mountain every daily to get exercise and to exorcise the bad spirits from them by pounding their bodies and yelling (to release the spirits from their bodies).
As you look at these photos, remember most of these people have never heard of Jesus Christ and don't have any idea about what He did on the cross. There is a great work going on in this city and there are new believers almost daily, but they need your prayers and a continued help from the Holy Spirit.
