Thoughts from the field

This is from an interview I did with a 68-year-old lady that works in the bush of Niger:

"West Africa is not an easy place to live, but they have got some of the most gracious people of any place on Earth. And they’re just as lost as they can be, and you can see it in their face, in their eyes. It’s just like there is nothing there. And if you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Savior, you have got nothing. And they need Jesus. People need to come over here and have a heart for the people. Not just a storybook knowledge. They need to come and get involved with people, because it will change their lives as well as the Songhai or the Zarma or the Hausa or any of them. We get in our own little ivory tower in America, and we think we have done so much good for God. And we haven’t done anything. He did it all when His Son died on the cross."
