Whatta mess!
Sorry it has taken me so long to add this seeing how it happened over 2 weeks ago... As I alluded to in my last Christmas post we had some water issues. On Christmas morning, I got up to take a shower (to wash off all that coal Santa left me). Unbeknownst to me, there was a leak and while I was showering, water was pouring into the seam between the wall and the shower, down onto the floor, which is the ceiling of the dining room and living room. As you may know, water looks for the least resistant path to flow and gravity tends to make things fall, so...

Water began to stream out of this slight opening where the molding met at the top of this column (above) and down the chain and to the tip of this chandelier in the dining room (below). You can see the drip at the bottom. Thank God, the water did not cause a problem with the electricity.

From there the water went onto the dining room table, chairs and of course, the floor. Unfortunately, no one was in this area of the house until I was almost done with my shower, so quite a bit of water went everywhere.

As it turns out there was a faulty piece or connection in this faucet to the shower and that caused some of the water to leak instead of going into the faucet or even the shower head.

The insurance is going to pay to fix the mess, including some sheet rock that had to be replaced from the water damage. Props go out to the insurance company for sending out an adjuster on Christmas Day.
It was a harrowing incident, but thankfully we had done our Christmas celebration at this location the night before and so it directly effect any Christmas plans here.
