Take me out to the ballgame
While in Greenville, we were able to catch a game at the (relatively) new downtown baseball stadium. When the GBraves left a couple of years ago, it opened up an opportunity for the Red Sox A affiliate to move to Greenville and for construction of a new stadium in the West End. The Greenville Drive (not much of a fan of the name) now play is this stadium.

Since the Drive are affiliated with the Red Sox, the stadium designers wanted to make it "Fenwayesque". There is a mini-Green Monster in left field, a deep corner in center and a pesky pole in right. There are also high-dollar condos and a brew-pub located right behind the left field wall, which gives residents a great view of all the games (whether you want it or not).

We had a good time at the game and catching up with my WYFF friends who were having a station night out at the game. Much thanks to Steph and Melanie for hooking us up with the free tix and food.

We also were able to go over some of the basics of "America's Pastime" and Rufina appears to be a quick study.
Up next: from the diamond to the deep.
