Look up in the sky
Rufina and I recently took a day trip one Saturday to explore some of the sights of Lantau Island. We started off on the 360 (three-six-oh), which is a sky bucket system that takes you from near the airport to Ngong Ping and the Tian Tan Buddha.

All aboard!

Looking back at the terminal and the city areas near the airport.

Dangling above the water as we ascend to a mountain top.

You can see a trail beneath the 360 line. So if you don't want to ride, you can walk.

One of the Aussies in our car took this photo of us. They were an interesting and funny group.

As we pass a car, you can see the big Buddha in the background.

Up next: We'll take a closer look at the big guy.
Also: I want to plug a website over here. It's called 12hk.com and the guy who runs it is a friend of mine. It is an unofficial guide to Hong Kong and is a great resource for tourists and locals.
